ROOTS & ROUTES

ROOTS & ROUTES ARCHIVE

As we restructure the sprawling ROOTS & ROUTES website (which grew up with the Internet in a similarly undisciplined way), we've had to decide whether to update, archive or eliminate a number of older articles. With the exception of our LEARN education pages, which are being completely redesigned, most of our resource pages have been updated and can be easily explored by clicking on one of the directory pages in the navigation bar.

Feature stories about interesting people, places and events in America's past, including preservation highlights and past anniversaries, will be collected here, Many of these older pages continue to draw substantial numbers of visitors to our site, and we'll update them as time permits. Others will not be actively maintained, but remain accessible here – so please browse and enjoy!
